Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentina Escobar-Gonzalez, MBA. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Valentina Escobar-Gonzalez, MBA, founded Beyond Engagement – Social Media Solutions in January 2012 – and hasn’t slowed down since. She has a passion for assisting small businesses to grow their engagement levels with customers online with social media marketing. She moved to Northeast TN from Florida over 10 years ago while finishing up her MBA degree and saw an opportunity to start a business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been opportunities and there have been setbacks. It’s hard to grow a business while raising little children when you don’t have parents or grandparents nearby because sometimes it’s difficult to attend events or out-of-town engagements due to lack of childcare, so then your business doesn’t grow as fast as you want it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Beyond Engagement?
I help businesses get up to speed with their Marketing so they spend less time struggling with social media and more with their customers (and potentially increase their sales). I have spoken to hundreds of business owners for close to 10 years in workshops and now webinars.
I also work one on one with business owners if they are struggling with understanding grasping how to utilize the various features of social media to communicate with clients. In 2019, Received the Rising Star Award by America’s Small Business Development Center, SBDC (only eleven in the state to get this award).
How do you think about happiness?
I enjoy working with clients and hearing about how our session(s) impacted their sales. Personally, I enjoy hiking the mountains, visiting Dollywood, and discovering/eating at new places throughout the State with my family.
