Today we’d like to introduce you to Elliot Giles.
Hi Elliot, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Back in middle school, I was in a class where I learned how to do basic video editing. Shortly after that I fell in love with the process of creating, and started making GoPro videos of everything that I was interested in. Fast forward a few years and I started an Instagram page where I was creating content that revolved around Soccer (weird niche, I know). But, making all of this soccer content opened the door for me to work with some major companies like Adidas, Puma, and RedBull. After doing this for 4 years, I realized my passion was with creating videos, not with soccer… So I stopped. This helped me discover my passion for creating music videos. I only started making videos for people about 2 years ago, and it’s blown up since then. Most of the artists I work with are coming out of Knoxville or Spartanburg, South Carolina. Along with music videos, I create content for people’s social media, shoot weddings, real estate, and basically anything anyone needs. It’s crazy to think that the class I took in middle school led me to where I am now, and I’m so glad I never stopped picking up that camera.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Is anything a smooth road anymore? Of course it was bumpy! Without failure, I wouldn’t be who I am today. One of the biggest struggles was leaving the career I had built for myself through soccer. I created content everyday for my page, so just stopping was a huge fear of mine, but I’m so glad I did. Another thing I struggled with was time. I’ve done everything myself; from directing, to shooting, to editing, I’ve always been a one man team. But there’s only so many hours in a day, so finding, and growing with the right people has helped me overcome that struggle.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Steeze Studios LLC?
Dream. Create. Inspire. That’s what I live by. Dreaming up and idea for someone or something. Creating vision out of that idea. Inspiring others through telling a visual story. I would say Steeze Studios is best known for creating music videos. My style, and ability to create a story sets me apart from other videographers. Every new project I work on is my best project, because I set the standard so high for myself. One of the things I’m most proud of is creating content for @TheeSneakerChannel on TikTok. I helped grow their account from 2.5k followers to 650k+ followers in less than a year by creating all their content and running their social media. As of now Steeze Studios is a one man team still, but whatever content anyone needs this one man team can get it done and blow your expectations out of the water every time.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I’d say my favorite childhood memory was going to Yellowstone National Park in 5th grade. It made me realize that the world is so much bigger and more beautiful than just Knoxville, Tennessee. After that moment it helped me believe that I could do anything or be anyone that I wanted to be, and I knew I just wanted to see the world, and capture memories doing it.
