Hi Jana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

Who am I?
It is always hard for me to share my story because I strongly believe it is where my story meets yours and brings YOU hope and light that is important. From early childhood I wanted to be a person that shifted the world into a better place. In my teen years I wanted to “Save the Planet.” While adventuring in Honduras during a semester abroad studying biology I volunteered to help a group of “Doctors Without Borders” on medical mission translating Spanish. Little did I know that would shift my trajectory into the field of medicine.
There was something special there between doctor and patient. It was a dynamic of benevolence, good will, science and healing intentionality that began my journey to become an Osteopathic Physician. Seeing how humanity pillaged its natural resources had left me disheartened but also led me to the discovery of a key Truth. No one can care about anything else until they are well within.
After getting married and having 2 beautiful daughters just after medical school and residency, it became clear to my husband and I that we wanted a different life for our family than we had in South Florida. The Lord clearly opened a door and shined a light on East Tennessee. This place of lakes, mountains and a more gracious culture welcomed us and I began working as a Primary Care Physician in an area of the country that barely knew what Osteopathic Medicine was. Little by little, I won over patients helping them avoid medications, surgeries and resolve their pain more naturally.
Unfortunately as I was working on learning more and more of how the body can heal, insurance companies in conjunction with pharmaceutical companies and government-backed healthcare were collaborating for the opposite approach.
The lies and biases in medicine had always been clear to me as I spoke up in several medical society meetings asking my colleagues to help stop the opiate epidemic and the babies born to this. So much denial, so much tragedy. Then came the Covid-19 Pandemic. As I lay deep in prayer over this the Lord showed me the death of unnecessary millions. The pain of what I saw was too much to bear and my appendix literally burst. I had known for a few years that the Lord was leading me out of the traditional healthcare system (of which I was ever reluctantly a part) into new territory. But having a health crisis myself and going through a deep personal death, burial and resurrection sealed my conviction and I knew my early retirement from the traditional healthcare system needed to happen.
I had too much to share to hide all of the amazing Osteopathic hands on healing techniques, healing injection therapies and nutritional research to stay in the box. People needed a place to go that was filled with light, hope, wisdom, scientific reasoning, integrity and experience. Furthermore, I had been working on a spiritual book incorporating the healing of the ancient Hebrew Letters. I knew I had expanded outside the box and was ready to be all God had put me here to be.
So in January of 2023 Abundance Wellness Center was reborn as an independent clinic committed to the Osteopathic Principles. The body is a unit. The body has an innate ability (God given) to heal itself. The person is a unique being of spirit- soul- and body that are part of that whole. That structure and function ( both cellular and musculoskeletal) are integrally related and rational treatment of the patient must reflect the application of these core concepts. I felt free.
Free to treat people based on the care plan the patient and I were led to create together with a healing intention. Free to incorporate innovative therapies like powerful magnetic frequency technology, IV nutrition therapy, muscle rebuilding, deep detoxification, gut health, brain health, neuroprolotherapy, prolotherapy, PRP, micorneedling.
On top of my clinic offerings I had begun selling supplements to my patients to help them through the difficult process of finding good quality. During the pandemic many companies dealing with short supply began to shift the quality and reliability of their products which stimulated me to realize my next phase- my own supplement line.
I had been developing nutritional protocols that were very advanced and integrated several components to rebuilt the gut, heart and nervous system. It was time to create this into a strategy that people could use independent from seeing me as a physician. So worked tirelessly to create recommendation for each “regimen” that would include a pdf of how, why and the wisdom of using these products together to benefit not just my patients but people in general. My biggest challenge now is reach. In a world of so many people trying to sell either outlandishly expensive health programs or buy cheap brands on Amazon and self medicate with AI how do we create a better system? I am considering expanding into corporate medicine programs as well in 2026.
So my business goals have multiple fronts. Firstly, to help people to stay truly well. Second, to create a place where people who have had medical issues can find healing solutions. Thirdly, to reach those across the country looking for time-tested, healing protocols they can use to being to rebuild their health from the inside out.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Beginning a business at the onset of recession with cost of living and inflation skyrocketing was challenging indeed. I could not have done it except for the deep conviction that I was walking out my destiny and God’s continual affirmation and support. There were many of my patients and friends that agreed with me in theory but did not support me in my business launch. That was hard. Few people put their money into business they really believe in but I do see this tide shifting. I try to practice what I preach by supporting local businesses, especially those that align with my values. Life is about loving relationships. Healthcare should be too. People have seen that but need to stop equipping insurance companies and Big Pharma with their healthcare dollars.

Risk is an outward appearance. Someone else’s interpretation of a personal story. Even my husband did not understand my mission and passion at first to bring real outside the box healthcare to our area. Know yourself and who you were created to be. Bet on yourself everyday and follow the still small voice that says who you are and the next step you should take. To those out of your story it may look like big risk but for you it is your path.
