Today we’d like to introduce you to Ella Roesner.
Hi Ella, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been a professional artist for a few years now since graduated college. However, I wanted a way to expand.
Sip ’n Graze Studio started as a simple idea. I’ve always loved creating art and connecting with people, and I wanted to build a space where anyone could relax, paint, and have fun without feeling intimidated by “traditional” art classes. What began as small gatherings with friends quickly grew into regular paint-and-sip events.
Over time, I saw how much joy people found in slowing down, creating something beautiful, and sharing it with others — so I leaned into that. Today, Sip ’n Graze Studio isn’t just about painting; it’s about connection, creativity, and creating memories.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road, but it’s been rewarding. One of my biggest challenges has been working around my disability, which means I can’t drive. My husband has been such a huge help — from loading up supplies to getting me to events — it’s really a team effort.
Another challenge has been filling classes, especially in the early days. There were times when only a few people signed up, and I’d worry about turnout. But I’ve learned that small classes can actually be some of the best ones — they’re relaxed, personal, and full of laughter. Each class, no matter the size, reminds me why I started this: to help people create, unwind, and have fun.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In addition to teaching, I’m an acrylic painter inspired by impressionist and contemporary styles. I love bold, expressive color – pieces that feel alive and joyful, even a little unexpected at times. I try to create art that makes me happy to look at, and I think that sense of joy comes through to others too.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of doing many commissions, but what I’m most proud of is how much I’ve grown into my own artistic voice. It’s taken time and experimentation to find a style that feels authentic to me, and now I embrace the freedom to paint what inspires me rather than what I think I “should” paint.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are a few ways people can connect or collaborate with me! The best way to support Sip ’n Graze Studio is by joining a class — whether it’s with friends, family, or even solo, every class helps keep our creative community growing. I also love working with local businesses and organizations to host private paint events or creative workshops.
For my personal artwork, I’m always open to commissions or creative collaborations that align with my style. People can reach out through my website or social media to discuss ideas, request custom pieces, or just follow along and share my work. Every bit of support — from attending a class to simply sharing a post — means the world to me.
