Conversations with Kate Cornelius

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Cornelius.

Hi Kate , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
So many people who become entrepreneurs say that they are motivated by their family or that they’ve never remembered a time when they didn’t dream of owning their own business.

My truth, is that I became an entrepreneur because I was “unmarketable” by societal standards – company after company unwilling to give me a chance to prove my place because of my history as laid out on paper.

I wanted to prove that I was worth something. That I had inherent value.

But companies saw me as a young mom, laden down by responsibility and having no proof of my capabilities. No college degree. No track record worth speaking of and no potential. Or none worth investing in, in their eyes.

So in 2018 after 213 unanswered applications, and continuing to hold the vision for a life filled with purpose and a sense of accomplishment, my husband and I decided to expand into His personal vision of freedom by opening a retail brick and mortar shop, where I did the accounting and licensing. A year later, I had continued to run with the natural skill I had in accounting and opened my own virtual accounting firm providing monthly services to creative indie entrepreneurs and small retail manufacturers.

I just couldn’t shake this feeling that there was something that was meant for just me – not something attached to a vision created by someone else, one that was rooted so deeply within my soul that it sang like a siren’s song. Something that would be birthed from my own genius and unique skillsets.

It wasn’t long before that same feeling asked me to completely shut down my accounting firm and perform a 180 shift into online consulting as an embodiment specialist and Strategic consultant for inspired visionaries.

Even when I had my accounting firm, men and women alike were coming to me on the side asking for guidance and support for a myriad of life circumstances; from relationships, to personal leadership, to spiritual connection, to parenting. I was known as “Ma Kate”, the queen of solidity. And I found myself on a mission to help raise compassion worldwide by catalyzing radical soul-level transformation.

From that point on I was jumping from idea to inspired idea as I built my platform, Sacred Solidity, which is a business dedicated to providing inspired visionaries the opportunity to catalyze radical transformation in their lives and businesses, without losing momentum, through mindful accountability and strategic embodiment.

Today I have the privilege of serving my purpose with dignity and grace through my intuitive work as a Strategic Embodiment and Growth Consultant for some of the top industry leaders across sports, entertainment, and business. And there is still so much more that is on the horizon and being created as we speak.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course it wasn’t always a smooth road – but like the Queen herself, Dolly Parton, once said – If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain!

And when you are someone who holds a vision or an inner calling for “MORE”, you come to expect that there will be bumps in the road as you navigate your way through your journey. You just, often, aren’t prepared for what that really looks like!

Working to build something magical from the intangible spaces of your mind – especially through the form of entrepreneurship – is such a deeply enlightening and enhancing personal process. It requires you to tap into and release any prior preconceived notions about who you are and what success and happiness really look like for you.

…and that means, your only option is to grow. To overcome challenges and roadblocks meant to help you reach a greater potential than even you could realize.

I like to use the word challenges in place of ‘struggles’ because it implies an opportunity that has the potential to be overcome; Some of the greatest challenges I have faced have been around the patterns that have been created through our thoughts, beliefs, and language that condition our ability to be happy and successful in life – my ego was a BIG challenge for me to overcome.

For a long time, I wore my independence as a badge, not wanting to ask for help and feeling like because the vision was mine that all of the work had to be mine as well.

I spent so much time circling the drain. Playing with all the shiny objects that didn’t really benefit me. Buying the courses (on the things that weren’t really a problem for me). Planning and not implementing. You know….making excuses.

There were times where I also pulled in clients inconsistently, crawled through burnout, and ultimately felt alone, left to do all of the things by myself and then come right back to the duties I was running away from.

Transparency is one of my greatest core values, and there was a length of time where I felt like the mask I was holding wasn’t a reflection of the life I was living. And it definitely wasn’t what I envisioned for myself.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Strategic Embodiment Expert and Consultant for Elite Leaders. I specialize in Growth Mastery and helping people leverage the resources they have naturally available to them energetically so that they can embody the lifestyle and personal vision they have for themselves.

In the professional world, I would be called a Success Coach or a Life Coach, but that is such an oversimplification of the intuitive work I do.

What I am known for is my compassion. I mean they don’t call me ‘Ma Kate’ for nothing. One of my greatest skills is being stable while creating an environment where peace can thrive. Where radical transformation meets aligned action through mindful accountability and strategic embodiment of what comes most naturally to you.

I basically help create a space where people can come down from the highly chaotic and scattered ways of the world into their personal level of comfort which allows them to catapult themselves into massive joy and fulfillment.

For some people this has meant financial success or building a business. For some people they have created whirlwind relationships and life connections. For other clients, they have found personal strength and personal growth that have allowed them to unlock greater meaning in their existing lives.

I think the thing that I’m most proud of is the community my clients and I have been able to build so that the collective can experience the same transformations that my clients have received.

The process for happiness is simple – show up and receive – And we want everyone to be able to experience that!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is that there is a need for constantly recalibrating back to “the truth”. ‘Recalibrating to truth’ is an honest assessment of where we are anchored in reality. It lets you know where you are along the spectrum of your quest for Success, Fulfilllment, Happiness, joy or whatever other purpose you think is meant for you.

Visionaries don’t walk the easy path—they forge the sacred one. The one worth investing in. The one worth fighting for. The one that constantly tells them there is something MORE meant for them in this world.

They recalibrate when the world demands they settle. They find discipline where others find excuses. Recalibration isn’t about starting over; it’s about realigning with what you already know to be true in your soul.

So often I think the world is moving so fast, projected so far in the future, that there is a level of obliviousness and presence to what we are trying to create and achieve.

Success can be defined as the relationship between encouragement and support! Even when things seem challenging, you CAN choose to shift your perspective to see abundance in the places you think there’s lack. The Visionary has a way of knowing what is worth fighting for. Sustaining a steadfast commitment to their vision that serves as a foundation for recalibrating back into sustainable peace.

You see, I truly believe that those of us who dare to dream big, do so because we were given access to an opportunity that is meant solely for us to help create. One that helps the world achieve balance and harmony. And that means that there is unlimited opportunity for success and fulfillment for every single person who desires it – no matter what that vision looks like for you.
