Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Jessica Ortega Cool. I have an amazing and supportive husband and three beautiful young daughters, ages 8, 5, and 1. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I am a first-generation American; my parents immigrated from Mexico to pursue the American Dream. They have always been business owners, forging their own path to provide a stable home. Growing up, I witnessed their strong work ethic, which has driven me to strive for excellence in everything I do. They taught me that hard work and experience pave the way to success.
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a lawyer, but my discomfort with public speaking led me to pursue a degree in criminal justice instead. Life took many turns, and eventually, I moved to Arizona, where I began my career in the insurance industry where I was first commissioned as a Notary and once I moved to Tennessee I picked up my new commission here and began on this journey of being a mobile notary.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any new mobile notary, I hit a few bumps here and there. As a stay-at-home mom, my biggest hurdle was adjusting to being on call. I have been blessed with great, trustworthy friends who help me watch my girls when I have a last minute signing. I’ve turned mobile notary and loan signing work into a flexible, fulfilling career that fits seamlessly around my family. I prioritize school runs, and Family time, then schedule signings—mostly 30–60-minute appointments in late mornings, early evenings or weekends.

What makes you happy?
What lights me up is the perfect overlap of three roles I love: stay-at-home mom, being a wife and mobile notary.
At home, I’m able to be fully present for the little moments, packing unicorn lunches, having dinner with my husband and girls or catching my toddler’s first “I did it!”
At work, I’m the calm, trusted closer who turns a stack of loan docs into a family’s new home in under an hour.
The flexibility means I never miss a school event, yet I still earn an income without daycare. Driving between signings with podcasts and a coffee feels like “me time,” and every 5-star review is proof I’m building something real.
Happiness, for me, is watching my kids tell their friends my job is to “make things official”, while knowing I’m modeling hustle, heart, and balance all on my own terms.
