Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassidy McReynolds
Hi Cassidy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Of course! I am originally from Northeast Tennessee and often changed my career aspirations while growing up. Eventually, I decided to pursue mental health counseling and earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from East Tennessee State University. While in school, I met my husband, Connor. Planning our wedding was how I discovered my passion.
When I received an acceptance letter from my top graduate school, I realized mental health counseling wasn’t my calling. It was then that I decided to see if wedding planning and coordinating was right for me. Working alongside local planners, I gained invaluable experience and learned the ins and outs of the industry. In February of 2024, I felt ready to take the leap and launch my own business, More & Most Weddings! I am forever grateful for the unwavering support of my family, especially my husband, and for the mentors who guide me along the way!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting your own small business is rarely a “smooth” journey, and the wedding industry presents its own unique set of challenges. In the beginning, attracting clients has been a struggle. I often joke that, in wedding planning and coordinating, there aren’t really repeat customers, and that’s true! It’s understandably daunting for couples to entrust their entire wedding day to (A) a complete stranger and (B) a brand new business with very few reviews.
My goal is to establish More & Most Weddings as a company renowned for its exceptional services. In an effort to build that credibility, I coordinated my first wedding completely free of charge. When that couple gave me my first 5-star review, I was over the moon! As I continue to make a name for myself, I’m committed to ensuring that every wedding I take on is meticulously planned and executed to the highest standards.
